i prefer it the way it was before. especially in regard to the typeface of the title. also, it was easier to read formatted center and now the right side is kind of distracting. just my opinion... content is still terrific, of course.

Sue,

I love love love your blog. I use your recipes a lot, and I really find your "mistakes" helpful! Thank you so much for posting. I love Korean food so much, but I am not Korean - well, ethnically I am Irish-Canadian, but my heart and tastebuds are Korean all the way! I cook Korean food almost every day. I really wish I'd grown up in Korea and been able to watch my mom make this food. I have so much to learn, still!
One thing that's difficult for me is to know which foods to serve to guests. My favorite things are 된장찌개 and 김치찌개 and old, home-style foods with deep taste. I know these are not the best things to serve guests. Also, I would love it if you know of any websites that tell about table-setting or food-serving etiquette- things like spoon on the left of the chopsticks, the soup/rice bowls (I can never remember which one goes on which side!).
Thanks so much for all your work - it is greatly appreciated!

Hi, just stumbled across your blog recently and quickly scanned your recipes. I'm hoping to make alot of this stuff since my hubby is Korean. I have to agree with a previous poster about the layout. Maybe I'm used to seeing entries in the center and columns for links on either side from other blogs (ie previous posts, archives, categories on right, other links on the left). In any case, I will continue to visit regardless of how you reformat it! :) Please keep it up!

Tigerfish, my sisters made those cookies. We are not so talented in baking though, thanks for your kind word. :)

Jennypo, My recommendation for your guests are Dakgalbi (if they can cope with spicy food, yet I don't think it is very spicy), Bulgogi, Galbijjim, seafood pancakes, sweet and sour chicken (but this one doesn't have any deep taste) and if you have a stand up party or something Kimbap is also good I think. Regarding the etiquette and table setting, you can learn from here, I will cover more if I can on a separate post in the future.

Sally, I bought them at the shop. :) It is type of Gyongdan with coconut powdered. Sweet rice cakes. (Though I might change the picture.)

Susan and Mona, Thanks for your comment. We will work on the layout.
Your feed back is important since you are my guest. :)

Hi Sue...I think i prefer your previous blog lay-out, seems to be neater....I kinda agree with the above comments about entries in the center or perhaps the sizing of the right column is a bit too wide...just my 2 cents :)

I can feel the passion in you and those around you through the way this blog is run. The cookies and the "new look" tell it all. The cookies look very nice. If they are chocolate cookies with rich chunk of chocolate chips, I would have finished them all before you can finish saying "My Korean Kitchen" :D Anyway, keep up the good job! I will be back for more of your postings.

Christina and everyone else,

Thank you for letting me know your opinions. I want to make a user friendly blog and also something I like.

I wouldn't quite go back to the previous lay out (so called 2 column layout), it had a fair few errors and it didn't seem to use space efficiently. So I changed to a 3 column (current layout). To people, including myself, who aren't used to 2 columns next to each other like this, it takes a while to get used to it. (I've been staring at the monitor nearly 10 hours now, so I'm used to it) :)

We are still working on moving one of the columns to the far left, so the main post comes in the middle. I think it will make everything all right, hopefully. Though since we are not computer geniuses it might take a while. In the mean time, I hope you get to used to this layout and don't have difficulties using this blog.

Equinox, Thanks for your support. It does encourage me work even harder. :)
I probably did the same thing about the cookies.

tellos, We were kind of thinking about using cookies for the design, but it looked a bit messy as you can see. :) And you have sharp eyes, it is a Chinese style font as you said. I couldn’t find any Korean style fonts.
Lots of Japanese and Chinese fonts, but not a Korean font. :(
I am also looking for other fonts at the moment, if you find something that might go well, do tell me. I will appreciate it.
