I’m a Korean girl in my 20’s who obviously loves to cook. (I thought I liked cooking, but I found myself liking writing about food and taking pictures of it more than cooking.)
Besides that I’m still trying to figure out what I am really good at and what I really enjoy doing. At the moment, I am full time butler for my husband and my hobby is cooking and writing about it on this blog. I think I nearly figured out what I want to be and to do while I was blogging here, but until everything I have planned turns out to be crystal clear, I am not going to announce it yet.
My husband suggested that I start some kind of blog in March 2006. I thought there aren’t many Korean food recipe blogs that shows individual steps with pictures. I also thought that if I can describe well and hopefully my husband learns how to cook, then I won’t always have to cook. Nah~! It didn’t work. He doesn’t know how to cook delicious food yet, though he seemed to understand more about what I am feeding him. Because he is the proofreader of this blog.
Since I started this blog, my husband and I both are benefiting from it. I am really enjoying cooking and taking pictures of it. It is so fun, it feels like I am an editor of a food magazine.
We also eat a bigger variety of food all the time which I never bothered to cook before. So it is really great to have this blog, simply because we enjoy our life more and appreciate it. (YES! it is definitely good to have this blog, my food journal. I am also making good friends world widely. Fantastic!)
Originally I aimed at foreigners living in Korea to give them some information about living and cooking here, because my husband often said he had some difficulty finding out about food before he married me. However most of my blog readers seem to be from outside of Korea. I don’t mind as long as it is useful and applicable information for you. I also love to read your comments on each post.
