Instant Udong Noodles

This is very simple and easy to make. It takes about 4 minutes total.

They are my husband’s favourite instant noodles. (He thinks they are healthier than other instant noodles because the noodles are not fried.)

This is what they look like. (Official price 1,400 won, but usually 900 to 1000 won)

Step 1. Boil water in a pot, when it starts to boil, put the noodles and the liquid soup (Dark brown color in a packet) into a pot, then boil for about 2 minutes more.

Step 2. Pour out the noodles and liquid into a bowl, and add the dried vegetebles (it is wirtten as “Hureik” in Korean on the pack).

It tastes nice, however it doesn’t look quite the same as the front picture of the package.

Warning on the package – Do not keep the package in the fridge.

I *love* these instant udong noodles. I get mine in a big styrofoam bowl package but they cost a bit more. I don’t know if they’re healthier, they seem to be coated in some sort of light oil, but they taste really great. A much better choice for a quick meal on the go than instant ramyeon I think.
