7. Korean Style Popcorn Chicken

“This recipe is outstanding! We loved it and I plan to make it often. Our favorite aspect of the dish was that the fried chicken remained crunchy even when covered with the sauce (I double-fried the chicken). I used all breast meat, and it was still very juicy. I tend to be wary of deep-frying, but I liked working with the bite-sized pieces of meat because they cooked so quickly. I served it with rice and your Sautéed Cucumber Side Dish.” ~ Elizabeth

“I have made this twice in 2 weeks!! Could not find rice cakes, ordered on line!! This recipe is absolutely delicious!! Now I can watch my Kdramas and have a great Korean meal also!!

  1. Sue, Love your site! You are turning me into quite the Korean cook. I have always made bulgogi, but have expanded to trying several other dishes and ban chan. I love the seasoned spinach salad! We even had a Bi Bim Bop party and treated several of our friends to bi him bop, kim chee, and several ban chan. They loved it! I always enjoyed visiting Korea for the food and the people.

  2. Sue,
Thanks for your recipes for BulGoKi and JaJangMeon and BiBimBpop. I was stationed in Korea in the U.S. Army off and on from 1975 to 1982 and I learned to love those Korean meals. My wife accompanied me to Korea for work from 2009 to 2011 and she developed a love for Korean food and culture. I will give her these recipes and she can try them out. She has made BiBimBop and KimBop before and she did a great job. Have a great in the land down under!
